Locke & Key 6

April 10th, 2009 - Respond

Huh. It’s all a set-up for the next series, which is kind of fine, but it doesn’t really resolve anything or answer anything.

Locke & Key 5

The pacing’s funny… it’s basically an all-action issue and really dark. Hill set the characters up to show their suffering.

Locke & Key 4

Well, what a totally disturbing read. Hill’s protagonist this issue is a psychopath killer (juxtaposed with one of the kids).

Locke & Key 3

Better, but the ending, instead of a cliffhanger, tries to give some pat resolution to the protagonist’s conflict. But solid.

Locke & Key 2

April 10th, 2009 - Respond

It’s all intriguing, but using the youngest kid as the protagonist. It’s a little too convenient; again a forced cliffhanger.

Locke & Key 1

The plotting is so well-done, so surprising, it doesn’t really matter the cliffhanger’s a little off; the art’s solid enough.

Fallen Angel 28

Blah again–and nice photo-reference of Halle Berry by the way. Too much dumb plot, not enough character or solid activity.

Fallen Angel 27

Better than I expected, but it’s an all-action issue–unless you count the jokes. But not as crappy as the series has been.
