Maybe it’s the combination of the mangaesque art and Wagner’s weak female characterization, but Nimue acts like a teenager.

Once again I am flummoxed. Wagner pays lip service to women but his protagonist is fatally hung up on the Phantom Stranger.

Wagner’s got some decent ideas–it’s like Young Indiana Jones, the protagonist in historical events–but his pacing is off.

The Etrigan cameo is kind of neat–does it put the comic in DC continuity; the almost manga art is okay but makes it goofy.
