Beautiful Cary Nord art and the decent handle on Adam Strange make all the difference. The plot’s a tad short.

Green Lantern/Atom 1

It’s like a pilot for an Atom with kids around sitcom. It’s not totally terrible, but the jokes are painfully unfunny.
Green Lantern: Circle of Fire 1

Breyfogle drawing superheroes might be the lamest, most action figure box looking art I’ve ever seen. Blah.
Doctor Strange: The Oath 5
October 29th, 2008 - Respond
The ending is really cute–enough to make up for most of the issue’s talky nonsense. It should have been better.
Doctor Strange: The Oath 4
October 29th, 2008 - Respond
There’s a fantastic opening fight scene, but the revelation with the aimless flashback and new villain is goofy.
Doctor Strange: The Oath 3
October 28th, 2008 - Respond
The plot slowly congeals. Vaughan’s long bad corporation scene is pointless. Can’t get enough of the art though.
Doctor Strange: The Oath 2
October 27th, 2008 - Respond
Again, lots of good scenes and good details–Strange flirting rocks; Vaughan’s trying to hide his pacing is off.
Doctor Strange: The Oath 1

Beautiful Martin artwork and a solid script from Vaughan. But–though there’s a lot of content–nothing happens.
